Dubai’s Global Village sounds like a village that even looks like a glaring village that is full of incredible cultural and entertainment centers with dazzling lights  located in the heart of Dubai. It’s the first of its kind in the Middle East and has become a popular affordable and family friendly destination for both locals and tourists alike. Each year, the Global Village’s operating season begins in November and continues until April. 

What is Global Village?

Global Village is the world’s largest tourism, leisure, shopping, and entertainment stoppage. Located in Dubai, it is a unique outdoor destination with a cocktail of attractions, events, and experiences that span cultures, countries, and continents.

In January 1997, Global Village began as a collection of kiosks on the Creek Side, opposite Dubai Municipality. After that, it moved for five years to the Oud Metha Area near Wafi City before having its current  location in DubaiLand.

At Global Village, you can experience the sights, sounds, and  cuisine from around the world in one place. With over 75 pavilions from around the world, representing more than 30 different countries, Global Village is the ultimate cultural experience. You can explore artisanal shops and try delicious food from all over the world, such as Russian blinis, Jordanian Maqlooba, Indian samosas, Filipino balut, smokey cheeseballs,smoky mocktails and many more! 

At Global Village, there is a heritage village, a main stage for daily shows, a mission speed stunt show, and kids’ theater in addition to the pavilions. Along Kiosk Street, there are fire fountain shows, delicious street food, an Indian chaat bazaar, and a floating market. In addition, there is the enormous carnival area with numerous rides.

From Christmas markets to Easter egg hunts, Global Village is the place to be for fun and entertainment!

Global Village Dubai is a one-of-a-kind, multicultural theme park that celebrates international cultures and customs. This entertainment hotspot is home to pavilions representing over 70 countries from around the world, offering a wealth of shopping, dining and entertainment options.

The best of Emirati culture and craftsmanship will be showcased in a larger “Live our Heritage” pavilion. Kids’ theater , musical dancing fountain and fire show. The brand-new Wheel of the World, with its 50-meter LED and 60-meter height, is also known as the festival wheel. As the Wheel soars above the park, you can get your fill of thrills while admiring the park’s activities and the glittering lights against the Dubai skyline.

Shopping is a key attraction of Global Village, with colorful and varied merchandise from around the world.  How to get there ?

Getting to Global Village in Dubai is easy and convenient. The most popular way to get there is by car. You can park at the main gate for a small fee, or you can choose to park in the underground car park, which is free. Alternatively, you can also take public transportation. There are various buses from different parts of Dubai that will take you directly to Global Village. The bus stop is located at the entrance to the main gate. Opening hours?

Global Village in Dubai is open from November to April and is usually closed during the summer months. 

Saturday-Wednesday: 4pm – 12 midnight
Thursdays, Fridays and public holidays: 4pm – 1am

 In addition to these regular hours, Global Village also has special hours for specific events such as National Day and other festive occasions. The park also opens at 10 am on Saturdays for special offers and attractions.

 During Ramadan, the opening hours may be reduced from 4 pm to 11 pm from Saturday to Thursday and from 4 pm to 12 am on Fridays and public holidays.

Tips for your visit

1. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking. 

2. If you’re looking for souvenirs or unique items, visit the Souq area. 

3. The Festival Area is the best place to enjoy music, food, and entertainment, so don’t miss out on that. 

4. Keep an eye out for discounts and special offers – Global Village has a variety of activities and attractions that are cheaper than usual.

Expenses in Global Village

  • Cost of a Global Village ticket: AED 15 approx. (if purchased online) or AED 20 approx. (if purchased at the gate). Senior citizens over the age of 65 and children under the age of three are eligible for free admission.
  • Entrance is free for people of determination with one caregiver.
  • Senior citizens over the age of 65 and children under the age of three receive complimentary admission.
  • Global Village tickets cannot be exchanged for cash.

Visiting Global Village in Dubai is an affordable experience.The shops within the park vary in price, but you can find great deals on all sorts of products, from clothes and souvenirs to art and electronics. You can also find food stalls, restaurants and cafes with prices ranging from 20 AED to 70 AED. Daycation in Global Village

The answer to this question really depends on how much of Global Village you want to explore. It’s a huge place and can take up an entire day if you want to explore everything it has to offer. The main attractions of Global Village last around 3-4 hours, but you can easily extend your visit to a full day depending on how much time you want to spend there. If you just want to get a feel for the village and don’t plan on buying anything, then an hour or two should suffice. 

If you plan on shopping, eating, and taking in all the sights, then we suggest you allot a minimum of 4-6 hours for Global Village. This gives you enough time to roam around, take pictures, shop for souvenirs and local products, experience the different entertainment shows, and enjoy some of the delicious international food.
